Attorney Guest at White House
Gordon D. Griffin, Esquire, Director with the Princeton,
New Jersey law firm, Mason, Griffin & Pierson, P.C. was a recent
guest at the White House. As President of the Rockingham Association,
Mr. Griffin was invited to tour the White House as part of its program,
Save America's Treasures.
Rockingham, an eighteenth century farmstead near Rocky Hill and
Kingston, New Jersey was the residence of General George Washington and his wife for
several months in 1783, when the General attended meetings of the Continental Congress in
Princeton. A model of Rockingham created by two interns was one of several works
commemorating historic sites from all over the country that were on display.
Mr. Griffin was joined by Margaret Carlsen, Senior Historic
Preservation Specialist at Rockingham, and Jennifer Saar and Melissa Saar, interns.
In addition, Mr. Griffin was recently honored at the New Jersey
League of Municipalities Annual Convention in Atlantic City. He received one award from
the Institute of Municipal Attorneys and one from the New Jersey State League of
Municipalities. Mr. Griffin, who has been practicing law for over fifty years, has served
as municipal attorney for Princeton Township and Princeton Borough, and is a past
president of the New Jersey Institute of Municipal Attorneys. The awards site his
excellence in local government law and outstanding community service.
