Sharon A. Dragan is a Director with Mason, Griffin & Pierson, P.C. She joined the firm as Counsel in 2016 after thirty years of practice, including twenty years at her own eponymous law firm. Sharon focuses her practice in the areas of local government law, zoning and land use law and real estate. She has represented several municipalities and zoning boards in the state of New Jersey. Sharon’s municipal practice includes in depth experience with the New Jersey Open Public Meetings Act, zoning and planning issues, ordinance preparation, enforcement issues, election law, sewer capacity issues, developer and other agreements, counsel to engineers and zoning officers, Clerk and Administrator assistance, coordination of affordable housing projects, Green Acres and farmland preservation projects, public contracts law, preparation of bid specifications, oversight of equipment purchase contracts, DPW projects, and coordination with Planning Board and Board of Adjustment.

In her continued service to the legal profession, Sharon served on the District XIII Ethics Committee for several years. The Office of Attorney Ethics (OAE) acts as the investigative and prosecutorial arm of the Supreme Court of New Jersey in discharging the Court’s constitutional responsibility to supervise and discipline New Jersey attorneys. She is a member of the Hunterdon County, Pennsylvania and New Jersey State Bar Associations. Sharon is a Trustee of the New Jersey Institute of Local Government Attorneys, a professional organization with the purpose of promoting education and professionalism among local government attorneys, and to assist members of the legal profession to better serve local governments in New Jersey.
