Valerie L. Howe  is a Director and Shareholder with the Firm. Valerie joined Mason, Griffin & Pierson, P.C. in 1991 as an Associate, after practicing law with a private law firm, and following a distinguished career as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy Judge Advocate General’s Corps where she served as both a prosecutor and defense counsel. Valerie is the Chair of the Firm’s Estates and Trusts Practice Group and she oversees the Firm’s Estate Administration department. Valerie’s practice is focused on federal and state estate tax planning, Wills, Trusts designed to protect children and other beneficiaries, Special Needs Trusts, Durable Powers of Attorney, Living Wills/Medical Powers of Attorney, digital asset planning, and assisting Executors with the administration of estates. She has a Masters of Law in Taxation and assists estate planning clients and Executors with comprehensive tax preparation, including federal estate and gift tax returns, inheritance tax returns, and Trust and Estate income tax returns. She is frequently a presenter at estate planning seminars throughout the central New Jersey area.
